Choose your skincare goal

byNUT GUIDE · 04

Choose your goal.

There may be several things you want to improve about your skin. You don't need to treat them all at once: prioritizing makes your routine clearer and easier to manage.

More discernment. Less noise.

01

What do you want to improve first?

The goal is not a skin label: it is the priority that guides the treatment.

SPOTSUneven tone or pigmented marks.
BLEMISHESBreakouts, blackheads, or clogged pores.
DEHYDRATIONTightness or discomfort related to water.
SENSITIVITY / BARRIERRestore comfort when skin is reactive or irritated.
TEXTURESpecific irregularities you want to address.
SIGNS OF AGINGLines, texture or changes associated with photoaging and the passage of time.
In short: if you have several goals, choose one priority. If your skin is irritated, restoring tolerance usually comes before intensifying treatments.
02

Check the basics

An active ingredient won't compensate for a routine your skin can't tolerate.

CLEANSINGRemoves what's needed without leaving skin uncomfortable.
HYDRATIONAs needed, for comfort and barrier support.
SUN PROTECTIONBroad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher sunscreen every morning; amount and reapplication depend on exposure and instructions.
03

From goal to function

Here we stop looking for products by format or popularity.

Spots may lead us to seek sun protection and active ingredients targeting pigmentation. Blackheads, to treatments with evidence for clogging. Dehydration, to humectation and barrier support. Signs of aging, to sun protection and treatments with backing for photoaging.

First decide which function is missing. Then choose the product that fulfills it.
04

You don't need a serum just because it "feels right"

The format is secondary.

The same function can appear in a cream, serum, lotion, gel, or exfoliant. Look at the formula, the regimen, your tolerance, and what you already have before adding another layer.

05

One priority does not mean ignoring the rest

You can maintain a base that covers hydration and sun protection while working on a main goal. What we avoid is accumulating several intense treatments without a clear reason.

NUT helps you filter this.

It starts with questions about your skin, your goal, and what you already use before suggesting products.

When you know what you're looking for, choosing becomes much easier.
