What your skin needs: learn to read the clues

byNUT GUIDE · 03

What your skin needs now.

Before looking for an active ingredient, observe what has changed, how your skin feels, and what happened before. Similar signs can have different causes.

More discernment. Less noise.

01

Start with the change

The useful question isn't just "what do I see?", but "is this normal or has it just appeared?".

IT'S ALWAYS BEEN THIS WAYIt may be part of your skin's usual tendencies.
IT HAS CHANGEDThink about weather, cleansing, exposure, exfoliation, medication, or new products.
In short: a recent change merits reviewing the context before buying another product.
02

Tightness, itching, stinging, or flaking?

If your skin is uncomfortable, adding more treatment is usually not the first move.

TIGHTNESSITCHINGSTINGINGFLAKINGREDNESS

Review what you've changed and temporarily simplify if something seems to be irritating. If symptoms are intense, persistent, or worsening, consult a healthcare professional.

03

Breakouts or congestion?

Not all breakouts are the same, and a photo is not enough to diagnose their cause.

COMEDONESBlackheads, whiteheads, or small bumps with little visible inflammation.
INFLAMED LESIONSPapules or pustules may require a different strategy and more attention to tolerance.
DEEP / PAINFULIf persistent, painful, or scarring, a dermatological evaluation is warranted.
04

Spot or mark after inflammation?

The origin changes the strategy.

AFTER A PIMPLE OR IRRITATIONThis could be post-inflammatory pigmentation.
WITHOUT A CLEAR TRIGGERDon't assume the cause. Distribution, evolution, and sun exposure are important.
A new or changing pigmented lesion that grows, bleeds, or is concerning is not classified with a cosmetic guide: consult a professional.
05

What about texture?

Real skin has pores and texture. Not all texture needs exfoliation.

NORMAL PORES / TEXTUREThese are not, in themselves, a problem that needs to be "erased."
ROUGHNESS OR FLAKINGMore acids can worsen skin that is already irritated.
06

Put the clues together

When it started · how it feels · where it appears · what was there before · what you changed · what you use.

The more clues you have, the less likely you are to choose a product just because the symptom "looks similar."
NUT helps you organize the information.

It asks questions before proposing a coherent routine. It doesn't start by showing you products.

Your skin provides clues. Learning to observe them changes how you choose.

More discernment. Less noise.
