Dr. Althea combines 0.1% pure retinol with bakuchiol — the botanical with a retinoid-like effect that reduces retinol's irritation curve — in an ultra-light gel serum. The airless dispenser preserves the retinol from oxidation. Pure retinol (non-encapsulated) with bakuchiol as a modulating support for those seeking the direct potency of the active ingredient with greater tolerability compared to formulas without a modulator.

For all skin types with previous experience using retinoids that want to work on firmness.

When: At night.

Routine step: After cleansing and toning, before moisturizing.

Frequency: Start 2-3 nights per week. Gradually increase frequency as tolerated. Maximum use: 5 nights/week.

Warnings:
• If you are introducing retinoids for the first time, remember that each skin has its own pace. Incorporating active ingredients gradually allows you to assess tolerance, respect the skin barrier, and avoid unexpected reactions.
• Do not combine with exfoliating acids on the same night.
• Daily SPF use is essential during treatment — retinoids increase skin's photosensitivity.

Discontinue use if any persistent discomfort occurs. Treat your skin on days when it feels comfortable and stable.

Dr. Althea's 0.1% Gentle Retinol Serum is a serum with 0.1% pure retinol and bakuchiol to work on cell renewal and firmness simultaneously. Bakuchiol acts as a modulator: it shares a mechanism of action with retinol and reduces its irritating potential. Panthenol, birch sap (Betula Alba Juice), and soybean oil complete the moisturizing support. The gel texture absorbs without residue. The airless dispenser protects retinol from oxidation.

For all skin types with previous retinoid experience. Suitable as a step to pure retinol after familiarization with encapsulated retinoids.
