Dr. Althea formulates this balm with azulene and green tea to soothe while cleansing. For dry skin, it can be occasionally useful as a first PM step when the barrier is more sensitive.

Suited for daily use on combination and oily skin, especially when skin has sensitivity or redness associated with pores and sebum. For normal skin, it can be occasionally useful when skin shows visible pores or a tendency toward shine. Effectively dissolves makeup and SPF as the first step of double cleansing.

When: Morning and night, as the routine's first step.

Dr. Althea's Pore Refresh Grinding Cleansing Balm is a cleansing balm in grinding format — a sherbet texture that activates with massage. Azulene (Sodium Guaiazulene Sulfonate) provides a soothing action during cleansing, reducing the feeling of irritation. Green tea extract adds antioxidant protection. Alcohol-free.

For combination or oily skin with sensitivity or a tendency toward irritation. For normal skin, as an occasional first cleanse when skin shows excess sebum or visible pores. Dissolves makeup, SPF, and daily residue without needing a vigorous rinse.
